Delayed Doesn’t Mean Denied: You’re Favored — Trusting God’s Timing

What do you do when you know God has favor on your life—but your circumstances don’t feel very favored?

Maybe the dream feels delayed. Maybe the door hasn’t opened. Maybe you’ve been faithful, consistent, and obedient, but nothing seems to be moving.

In this solo episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy Wienands uses the story of Joseph to remind you that favor doesn’t always look like favor while you’re walking through the process.

Joseph had a dream and a calling on his life, yet his path included betrayal, a pit, slavery, false accusation, prison, and years of waiting.

And still, God was with him.

Amy talks about what happens when the thing you believe God promised feels delayed—and how seasons of waiting can test your consistency, obedience, faith, and willingness to keep showing up.

Sometimes the delay isn't evidence that you've missed it.

Sometimes it's simply a matter of timing.

Amy shares the picture of sitting on an airplane that was completely prepared for takeoff. The plane was fueled. The passengers were seated. Every check was complete.

But it still couldn't take off until the airspace was clear.

Sometimes your life looks exactly like that.

You're prepared. You're doing the work. You're ready.

But the timing hasn't aligned yet.

Don't let discouragement convince you to quit while you're sitting on the runway.

You haven't missed your moment.

You may be being prepared.

You may be being positioned.

You may simply be waiting for the right timing.

And favor doesn't mean you'll never walk through a storm. Sometimes favor means God is covering you right in the middle of it.

As long as you have breath in your body, you still have purpose to serve.

Keep moving. Keep believing. Keep preparing. Keep reminding yourself of God's faithfulness.

You are favored—even when it doesn't feel like it.
